If you have got cards up to the sum of 10 you can always risk on taking another card, but when receiving a sum of thirteen you have to decide if you should take the risk, that is why card counting is important or to look at the big picture in the table, if the dealer and players got mostly low cards you are most likely to get a high one and bust but if everyone has gotten high cards you may have a good probability to get a low card which is good although it is not always %100 unless you calculate like a genius.
My advice is when getting the sum of 16 you should stay, although I am a risk taker I rather stay with the 16 hoping the dealer will bust.

Spot a crowded table, go to where allot of players are winning and sit over there. Don’t let the casino tempt you easily, be strong and fall every softening trick like free drinks and such.
